What do I need to bring for my initial consultation?
  • A current referral from your doctor
  • Recent X-ray or blood test results
  • Medicare card
  • Health care card or Private health insurance details
Consulting Fees?
  • New patient consultation fee: $200
  • Review consultation fee: $110
  • Payment is required on the day of consultation via EFTPOS, Credit card or Cash.
  • Pensioners and health care card holders pay a reduced consulting fee.
  • We do not bulk bill for consultations.
  • Medicare rebates approximately 60% of consultation fees.
  • Outpatient consulting fees are generally not rebatable from Private health funds
  • Informed financial consent is discussed with all patients electing to use their private health fund for surgery. Uninsured patients are referred to Western Health waiting lists for elective surgery.

Do I need to fast for surgery?
  • Usually 6 hours of fasting (no intake of food or any liquids) is essential before any general anaesthetic  for surgery. Please advise us of all current medications and many can be taken prior to fasting
